The Artist

I'm Alison, a freelance Artist and Graphic Designer based in Algarve, Portugal. I studied art and graphic design at university and hold a BA(Hons) Degree.

I create high quality realistic coloured pencil and graphite pencil commission portraits of both pets and people for clients all over the world. 

Working in coloured pencil and graphite together with good quality reference photos allows me to capture the detail and personality of the subject.

Although this is a  timely process of building layers to create depth and realism, the outcome is extremely rewarding and is what brings the subject to life on the paper. 

Unlike graphic design, producing a commissioned portrait of someones special pet or person is a very personal experience and seeing other people happy to receive their drawing is so rewarding for me personally.
